Firstly, LibreOffice is a free and open-source office suite. Applications included in the package are Writer (word processing), Calc (spreadsheets), Impress (presentations), Draw (vector graphics and flowcharts), Base (databases) and Math (formula editing).
Note: LibreOffice is only installed with Ubuntu, when a "normal" install has been selected. If you chose to do a "minimal" install then you will need to install LibreOffice separately. All of our laptops are shipped with a "normal" installation which will include LibreOffice.
This guide will show you how to install LibreOffice via Ubuntu Software.
1 Open the GNOME Launcher and click on Ubuntu Software
Click 'install' and put your credentials in when prompted.
